Flannery's Irish
Driving Tours
Northern Ireland includes counties Fermanagh, Tyrone, Derry, Antrim, Armagh, and county Down. It is a very exciting region with a lot of history. The scenery is world-renowned as some of the most spectacular, for photography and artists alike. The capital city of Belfast is a huge center for industry and tourism.

The eastern region includes coastal counties, Louth, Meath, Dublin, and Wicklow. The southeast grouping houses Carlow, Wexford, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford. The east has some of the oldest architecture as well as the busiest Night-Life in the Capital City of Dublin.

The south region has the fewest counties, but a high population and tourism center. County Limerick, Cork and Kerry make up the southernmost tip of the island. Cork City was named 3rd top city to visit, according to Lonely Planet rankings in 2010. With the largest county in Ireland, Cork has vast country-sides as well as a great city-centre experience.

The west has Mayo, Roscommon, Galway and county Clare. With the beautiful coastline of the Atlantic, there are plenty of places to surf, relax and enjoy. The cliffs and countryside are abundant with culture, and makes it a highly touristed piece of the country. There is also plenty of access in and out; with regional airports, so you can easily see it all.

The midlands, as the name states, is right in the heart of Ireland. The midlands hold counties such as Monaghan, Cavan, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Laois and Kildare. With a list of activities that includes fishing, cruising, horseback riding, golf, theater and hiking, the midlands have something for everyone. The midlands are known for being the "genuine Ireland" experience for tourists and visitors alike.

Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are the three counties rounding out the northwest. This region has the greatest variety of all of the locations. Great hill-walking and mountains are a must when traveling through. It is also the site of the largest concentration of megalithic monuments in Europe. The area has no real "big city" feel anywhere. Quiet and serene and very much Irish.
